There are just two Tour Guides Certificated as Ornitologists. Halle Alberto Jackson and Misael Calcano Silven both tour guides have been working with the protection of Ridgway’s Hawk in the nesting season as a Volunteers.

Note: This Tour is Focus on nature and all the endemic species birds in Los Haitises National Park. Concentrated in the information about wildlife. Usually is private Trip.

Our tour Guide will meet you in Sabana de la Mar or Cano Hondo Area, also pick you up at Cano Hondo Hotel.

🦅  Excursion Details:

From Sabana de la mar we go to Caño Hondo Pier. After embarking in the dock of Caño Hondo in Lancha or Bote, we cross the Caño Hondo river, observing the beautiful mangrove until we get to Bahía de San Lorenzo. This trip is more slow to be checking some birds around mangroves.

Estive na Baía de San Lorenzo. visitaremos duas Cavernas, a Caverna Triste chamada em espanhol Cueva de la Arena; nesta Caverna podemos ver as petrografias das comunidades Tainos que permaneciam nesta área. e usando as cavernas como templo.

After first Cave, we go ahead to the Linea Cave, this one with 2,243 originals pictographs and our tour guide explain you the information from archeologist about those pictographs.

Pegando o barco de volta à ilha Pajaros (Ilha dos Pássaros), onde podemos ver a maioria das aves das zonas úmidas ao redor do Parque Nacional Los Haitises. Só porque nem todos os pássaros estão na água.

We go to the Hudmist forest. Hiking in the Original Forest from Los haitises National park and learning about medicals plants and history about people from this area.

After 4 and half hours Learning About Los Haitises National Park. We finish our tour in the same place as started.
