Explore the rural area nearby Puerto Plata! Discover green paradaise only about half an hour drive from our city 🙂 We’ll pick you up for the tour from any place in Puerto Plata / Sosua / Cabarete surroundings.

Consider that this trip is by design a rural and forest trek, and the average walking time is about 3 hours. The best clothing is a light T-shirt and short shorts, and comfortable footwear that can get wet (trekking sandals or water shoes). A small bag or backpack will also come in handy.

On our route we will make stops for coffee at a familiar village inn, lunch, or a beer at the village “colmado” store. You can also take a refreshing swim in a natural lagoon on the river that flows through the mountain valley. There will be photo stops at farm animals and typical garden plants. Therefore, the whole tour will last longer, about 5-6 hours.

We guarantee that you will experience a new, completely non-commercial face of the Dominican Republic and feel what it is like to live away from the city and hotels. You will admire traditional colorful houses, pastures full of animals, palm groves, tropical forest and a picturesque river that will accompany us during the trek.
